try making your own dog food. a good recipe is this.
1 cup cooked rice
1 egg
half can of peas or other veggies
1/2 lb of ground beef
add a tiny bit of salt, they like it.
mix all ingredients well, and cook in a skillet with a bit of butter or oil til the ground beef is just turned brown. cool it off and offer it to your pup, most go crazy for it.
if all else fails, offer treats and buy dog vitamins. good luck! :)

Lots of pets become stressed from being away from there owners and will often refuse to eat. Normaly the pet will soon begin to eat in small amounts after a day or two give it some time!

Is he on dry kibble only? If he is then I would think about buying some wet food for him.The wet food will do two things for him if he will eat it. One, it will keep him from losing weight and two it will keep him from becoming dehydrated. There is a really good canned food out there called Spot's Stew and it is basically chicken stew for dogs. This stuff looks and smells so good I am almost tempted to eat it. Good luck.

he's probably pining for his owners. My dog pined when i went on holiday so the person looking after tried to do lots of things with her to keep her mind off missing me. If you do things with the dog like feeding her chocolate drops( my dog absolutely loves chocolate drops)she or he will absolutely love you.
Try and feed her ready break with goats milk for her morning meal and tripe for her evening meal.
Make sure she does lots of active things during the day so at might even if she misses her owner she will be hungry and will want to eat her evening meal.
Hope all this helps!

He is probably stressed out. Can you contact your friend to see if he can suggest anything?

Call them. Ask for the name of their vet and permission to take him there.
