It depends, did the tooth fall completely out or did it break off? I mean either way you really must see at dentist. If it broke off you need the rest of the tooth removed and then the tooth should be replaced but if the tooth came out with the roots, then you just need it replaced.
I know that here in Oregon United Way has a community referal line were you can get numbers for dental clinics that do lost cost dental work and some will allow payment plans. I paid $50 a month for a year to have one tooth pulled that had broken off from an emergency dental clinic.
If the tooth broke off the gum area will have fragments that can cut your gums when you chew. Not to mention the fact that gums will be be sensative to chewing anything crunchy in that area. Also, it can get infected more easily there and that's a pain you don't want...mine made the whole side of my face ache to the point of tears. If you wait for that to happen then you could end up paying more for emergency dental care.
If your tooth came completely out with roots and all, I would still see a dentist as I said above. The tooth should be replaced to assure that the rest of your teeth don't shift as that could depending on your age and how much you value your nice smile, braces if left alone long enough.
You can receive a new tooth via a bridge connecting the new one to one on each side of it (from what I understand) or by the dentist drilling a spot for a new one into the jaw and it is just sort of nailed into place. I have heard good and bad about both so just make sure the dentist is able to do both and get the pros and cons of both before making a decision. It's your mouth after all!

How old are you? Baby teeth can fall out until you're 12 yrs. old. There's nothing you can do about the one that fell out, but I'd go to the dentist first thing in the a.m. and let him check the rest of your teeth. Remember to brush your teeth twice a day and stay sugar which can rot your teeth from inside the blood stream. (Cokes have 10 tsp. of sugar in them!)

if it's not a baby tooth, get to a dentist. I think they can re implant if it just happened. If not they can fit you with a replacement so that your other teeth don't move around.
More importantly... why? Do you have gum problems?? It needs to be corrected before more of your teeth fall out.

Go to the dentist immediately. He could re-plant it. You could have gum disease and lose more teeth.
