i used to think so when i was young... but now i think it's too much of a fairy tale balony... but im telling you, there are people out there that would fit you more than others... and i guess in a way, that is kind of like the true love theory...
recently i got together with a girl that is exactly my type, kinda met in a chance-like meeting... but i wouldnt say true love, but it just works.
one day ur princess will come... but be in love, not blinded... find someone that 'fits' you... be your type, compliment on the things you lack, and will be there for you unconditionally.

True love is like a ghost, everyone talks about it but few have actually seen it. But i my friend have seen it, i've seen it come from myself. True Love is real, it is true to those who believe it. True love is something you do by choice, not something you "fall into." You are exactly as much in love with someone as you work at. Love is when, by your own free will, you seek all the very best for someone, and seek to give and contribute into that life as much as you can. The only way for love to last a lifetime is for you to make it work, one day (sometimes one moment) at a time. Love is not magic; you have to work at it. You decide if it lasts, and it can. But you may not understand that, Love is not supposed to be understood, its like a language spoken by everyone,
but understood only by your heart.
I hope that you do find it one day, it might not seem real now, but then you've never had a gf.

Yes!
Love is an incredibly powerful word. When you're in love, you always want to be together, and when you're not, you're thinking about being together because you need that person and without them your life is incomplete.
This love is unconditional affection with no limits or conditions: completely loving someone. It's when you trust the other with your life and when you would do anything for each other. When you love someone you want nothing more than for them to be truly happy no matter what it takes because that's how much you care about them and because their needs come before your own. You hide nothing of yourself and can tell the other anything because you know they accept you just the way you are and vice versa.
It's when they're the last thing you think about before you go to sleep and when they're the first thing you think of when you wake up, the feeling that warms your heart and leaves you overcome by a feeling of serenity. Love involves wanting to show your affection and/or devotion to each other. It's the smile on your face you get when you're thinking about them and miss them.
Love can make you do anything and sacrifice for what will be better in the end. Love is intense, and passionate. Everything seems brighter, happier and more wonderful when you're in love. If you find it, don't let it go.

I used to think love was "true." However I no longer believe this. I think all people are innately selfish and, in the end, only do things that benefit themselves. If treating a girlfriend or boyfriend kindly gets you something, then you'll do it. If the benefits of the relationship no longer outweigh the costs, then you don't "love" that person anymore. If love is so variable, then no, it isn't "true."

I think people consider true love as unfailing love - love me no matter what the circumstances are. False love could be lust. It can also be loving someone that doesn't love you back. True love is still loving a person, even if they give you an STD - I guess thats what it means.

True love develops over a period of years.
The love you're thinking of is more of an attraction. It can grow into "true love" over the years.

I feel like love fills a part of you that nothing else can. Even if it's just friendly love, like my best bud and I catching a movie together, or my gay bud and I heading on a mall trip. Love pretty much puts a smile on your face. =)
