To diagnose kidney failure, a doctor usually orders a 24 hour urine collection. Typically, the lab will give the patient a plastic jug and tell them to start collecting all the urine for a 24 hour period, usually starting in the morning. The jug has to be kept refrigerated during the collection process. After 24 hours, the jug is returned to the lab and they will analyze the urine. By the amount of protein and other chemicals in the urine, the doctor can tell if there are kidney problems and just how severe they are.

Well if you have kidney problems it will usually feel like a stabbing pain in your back and when you pee it will be regularly darker (because of some blood that can be in there) and it will really just hurt you should see a doctor obviously but i know what it feels like because i have kidney problems so i know what it personally feels like
