A guy i liked gave me his number and we had been texting and calling each other,he seemed really keen and would text alot however he text me on friday and said that he was interested and if i wasn`t then just to tell him and that he really liked me.
We seemed to be getting our wires crossed and he said to my mum last night he was going to give me a call(my mum knows him from his work as do i)he then text and asked if he could call me soon and i said yes it was fine but he didn`t call me at all.
So i just sent a friendly text saying that if he`s not interested then it`s totally fine and there`s no hard feelings and he didn`t even reply!I just don`t know whats going on with him as i said before he did seem really keen and was always texting me then he just went quiet on me so i dont know what to do now as i will see him at his work next week.
To make matters worse we are both quite shy and get embarrassed really easy and walk about with red faces when we see each other!!help!

I said before and i'll say it again. move on. give a better guy a chance.
he seems not only shy be emotionally retarded, if he is still not getting the message that you are intereseted.
if you really do want to give the guy one more chance then make a plan for you to meet somewhere. tell him you will be at (selecta place in public in your local area, and at at a set time from and to), if he is interested in more than just friends then he should turn up to meet you so you can discuss why he has been playing these stupid games.
Trust me shy is a killer, i'm 33 and single, and extremely shy, i never let a woman i like know how i feel. though to be frank I'm not exactly what a woman wants so again another reason i do not let on, as i see it as a waste of time to risk being hurt yet again.
do not end up like me, in your thirties single and lonely, it is not a pleasant existance.
life is too short to waste your time on this guy. he sounds as i said a little emotionally retarded. Phone and speak to him texts in this instance are not good.
and tell him in no uncertain terms what you would like from him, tell him that you want to be more than just friends (if that is your desire). if he still fails to act when he hears that he either has now given up on you and has already moved on to someone else or has just lost interest.
it sounds like he wanted you as a one night stand and not a relationship. as i said in previous answers to this topic from Nati, more fool this guy for not getting intouch knowing how she feels.
or is this a case of him being scared of by her taking a positive step in the relationship and wanting to move from friends to lovers? either way i say it yet again he is emotionally retarded.
he should be man enough to voice his thoughts and feelings to her regardless of what they are. by not saying anything to her that is just selfish and emoitionally hurtful.

Nati Remember that other better guys who will not be so selfish and stupid exist. so make an effort to go out in your local area and find a guy or two to consider. have a few cards printed and ready to hand out with a special email address for guys to leave a message should you either see a guy you like or if a guy approaches you.

Do you have any credit to call him? If you can afford to, give him a quick call out of the blue, and just casually ask how he is. Say you were worried if he was ok, because he said he was going to call and didn't. The good thing about talking to him compared to texting is that you will be able to hear his emotion in his voice, so you have a better idea what's going on. Much easier over the than face to face.

u shouldn't have texted him with that blabber about "no hard feelings". well, anyway, pretend that nothing happened, do not text him, when u see him do not ask or say anything. just be cool. he probably met someone else or he had someone else and u were his "spare tire". i used to do that a lot with guys - reserve a "spare tire" for a weekend. nobody likes to sit at home on friday night

Stop texting! Get face to face with him, and in your nicest voice, say, "I think texting leads to misunderstandings sometimes; what about we have a cup of coffee and get it sorted?"
You can't read a person's face or body language in a text; it gives a false impression of what they (and you!) are about. Go on, I dare you!
