Well first, what's your choice type of alcohol. Beer, liquor, mixed drinks etc...

I would suggest starting with your basics. Shooters with chasers(shots with an extra non-alcoholic drink to wash it down), straight/on the rocks, usual beers.

Ater getting used to these try imports and simple mixed drinks... ie JD+Coke, Vodka sour, tequila sunrise, etc.

From there you can go on to more complex drinks such as your martinis or drinks like your alamaba slammer and such.

Hope this helps. Happy Hangovers!

Gotta try the Red Devil:
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz peach schnapps
1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
1 1/2 oz sloe gin
2 oz triple sec
2 oz orange juice
1 splash grenadine syrup
Hope you enjoy
As many of the others have mention jack and coke or rum and coke are always good.

And always remember drink responsibly

Brandy and coke, or Bacardi Hurricane or Bahama Mama. Tequila Rose--tastes like strawberry milk--or just a regular ole strawberry margarita. I love Disaranno--tastes like vanilla--but if it's too strong for you by itself, mix it with coke. It tastes like an ice cream float.

In that case I go for a white wine or a good, strong and dry apple cider.

Cosmopolitans are great, espeically if you get them at a bar. (I never have all the stuff on hand to make them at home.)
At home vodka or gin with any fruit juice is good.
