ive been wondering the same thing. its like half and half,
when 90% of the world is theists, and 1/3 of theists are Christians. But I'm glad that atleast (some) of them are here to learn, so we can try to teach them, if nothing else.

Because we're the ones who know the most about religion. It's a section whose purpose is to provide a place for people to ask and answer questions about religion. If there weren't atheists here, there would be hardly anyone who could answer such questions, since as is obvious if you look around here, most believers don't know anything at all about religion.

Atheism is the rejection of religion. That means it is ABOUT religion. So this is the place to talk about it. And this question gets asked like 50 times a day. Are you guys really that insecure that you can't take criticism?

Before you asked this question you should have checked out how many times this question has been asked. Everybody has the right to be here as everybody has something to say when it comes to the subject of religion.

This is not a perfect world and there are people who are entiltled to what they believe. Even atheists have a right to express what they think in order that the world know they are still here.

The Great Apostasy of these Last Days.It is not only their numbers that are in abundance, but the majority being so vile that is more of a concern to Believers.

Because this isn't the " freaks only" section.
Atheists also know how to use the search bar to find out how many times a question has been asked. Apparently you aren't smart enough to know how to do that.

Because people like you direct questions to Atheists. If you don't want them here, stop asking them questions.
