Ashampoo burn movies?

Hello, I have downloaded the Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5 software and want to burn a movie thats on my desktop. its a Windows Media Audio/Video file. I burned it to a blank dvd-r and it wont play on my tv dvd player. any help would be great .... THANKS

You just cant burn a video file to a dvd disk and expect it to play in your dvd player unless your dvd player supports that file format, which most dont support .AVI. You need to convert your .AVI file into the DVD format and burn it to a DVD.

Look at download.com for some file converters like Easy MPEG/AVI/DIVX/WMV/RM to DVD 1.4.7 or something like that.
