You should consume foods that are high is fiber, such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables. When buying bread products look in the ingredients for the word "whole", like whole grain, whole wheat, or whole oat flour. Oatmeal is also a great source of fiber. Fiber attaches to the cholesterol in your blood and removes it, ultimately reducing the "bad" cholesterol in your blood which will help unclog your arteries. Also eat foods, low in saturated fat. Saturated fat is primarily in animal fats. Saturated fat is one of the main contributors to clogged arteries and high cholesterol. Eat "good" fat instead, (monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated) which is found in vegetables oils, like olive oil and canola oil. Avocados, olives, and fish are great sources.

There is no magic tonic or food.
The process of clogging took decades, it will take a really long time eating and drinking healthy to undo some of the damage.
If you've already had a heart attack, you have macrophages that were released that will continue to cause plaque to form. You need to see a dietitian and talk to your cardiologist about what meds might help minimize the accumulation of plaque.
In the mean time, avoid ALL trans fats and hydrogenated fats.
Look up heart healthy diets and you'll get a lot of do's and don'ts to help you reshape your diet.

You should really talk to your doctor, or Cardiologist.
You might also want to see a nutritionist.
I would think that you have to start eating the healthiest you can, but not eating a lot of red meats or drinking beer.

No cigarettes to smoke, that is the worst artery clogger. Plenty of oily fish, omega 3 oils help. Plenty of fresh fruit and veg. Perhaps some of the Flora pro.activ. type of spread.
PLENTY OF EXERCISE!!

There has been evidence that oat products
can actually carry off plaque that clogs
arteries.
To what extent, I don't know.
( some of these theories like eating "garlic"
come and go. )

You should look that up online, or ask your doctor, but I know that Cider Vinegar is good for everyone, altho, it tastes like crap! The benefits outweigh the taste.
