That's actually a good question, and it is a valid one. While methane does not compare to CO2 in terms of sheer volume, methane is a much more potent greenhouse gas... 23 times more potent.
This is a serious problem in areas with "factory farms", where 100,000+ cattle can be found at any one time. They also produced in vast quantities of nitrous oxide, which is 296 time more potent than CO2...

If you convert the nitrous oxide & methane into it's equivalent value in CO2 based on potency, and then add the CO2 produced aswell, livestock actually produces more CO2 than cars!

I don't have the exact numbers of output, but the United Nations Food & Agriculture Organization have some excellent data...

Very good point, but we in the Conservative party (UK) have not neglected this well known fact , when we come back to power we have already designed, and have in production the HFD, which is of course The Human Far* Detector, this may cause a slight discomfort when first fitted as it involves the insertion of a small (2" diameter) up ones rectum.
A tax will be charged per emission, this will not of course reduce the ozone layer, but will increase our revenues.
Hope this helps? Vote Cameron you know we care!!

Because the human experience on the planet is so short in geological time, I do not think there is indisputable evidence one way or the other. What I do think is that the human population is too large to be supported by the resources left on Earth. Good crop land and water sacristy will make the economic problems of today insignificant for your grandchildren. They will die of hunger or thirst. The only thing "under water" will be their mortgage.

Ive calculated that you pass gas about 30 times a day more than normal people and that you alone are the cause of our global warming.

It wouldn't surprise me if someone had. I have no idea what the number is, but you can probably find it on the web.
