I'll say the same kinds of things I say in a non-academic context.

Everyone seems to have an insane idea that everyone of x age and y height is supposed to weigh exactly the same.

This is absurd. People have different builds and different amounts of muscle, thus, there are different ranges of healthy weights -- not one magic number.

Breast size, butt size vary -- this isn't about being too fat, it's just that different women have differently-sized breasts and butts; and width of their pelvic bones, hence width of hips varies a LOT.

A broad-shouldered person just has more mass, therefore, more weight, than one with a tiny frame.

People are not all identical to each other.

(Also, female's weights bounce around a bit during the course of their cycles, which is about water, not fat, and can't be avoided.)

Uh, do you mean 1,200 cals a WEEK, or a DAY? Cause 1,200 calories a week could kill you real quick. That much a day would at least be in the ballpark.

It also depends on metabolism and level of activity. If you do a lot physically, you need more calories than if you're a couch-potato. Marathon runners really burn it up.

115 is way too little for someone of that height -- the only way to get there would be to starve (I mean in a really unhealthy way) or to cut off a leg or two.

Someone that tall simply shouldn't weigh that little, even if they have a slender build and no muscles, no breasts to speak of, nor butt, nor hips.

A voluptuous girl of that height should weigh much more, without being over-weight.

What I'm saying is, you're looking at weight the wrong way. Too many things go into what makes for a healthy weight -- it's not just number-crunching.

Hey! I healthy time frame to lose the 50 lbs you want is about 25 weeks (meaning about 6 months)... BUT at 5'7" a healthier weight for you would be around 130 (I'm the same height and this is when I look my best!).. to get to this weight losing 2 pounds a week would be 4 months! So this is totally attainable by July if you work at it hard!

Good luck :)

lol 1200 a week, you are insanity, you should've died right after the week, if you means 1200 a day, it's still little for a person, you probably lose about 40 lbs in 4 weeks, included exercise, but it's not healthy at all......
