Why is it hard to believe that our gov't. could/would attack its own country?

In 1962, there was a plan in place to stage a false-flag operation to generate support for a war against Cuba. The plan might have succeeded if not for JFK, who reportedly scratched the plan. One of the proposed plans was:

" Firebombing and sinking an American ship at the Guantanamo Bay American military base—reminiscent of the USS Maine incident at Havana in 1898, which started the Spanish-American War—or destroy American aircraft and blame it on Cuban forces. Thankfully, this operation was never carried out, but its now known that elements of our gov't. are willing to kill americans in order to generate support for war.

Now ask yourself this...Is it POSSIBLE that this happened on 9/11?

What if our gov't. wanted to give off the impression that they are and were inept?

Ever heard of hush money, death threats (death threats to their families)?... we're talking about some highly influential people here who (if they planned the attacks) would do anything to make sure it doesn't come out.

It is already known that firefighters, policeman, and FBI agents can't talk publicly about specific events that day.

Absolutely that is exactly what happened! Too much evidence to think anything else. The Gulf of Tonkin is in our history books, but the naysayers can't read, so how can we expect them to be capable of critical thinking? I believe that because the President is merely a puppet for the big world banks (who really own the country and the world), It's all about power. It's not about people. He is not here for us, but for a much bigger plan.

I'm sure that most of the people who say conspiracy theorys are nothing but crap, are most of the younger generation ages 18-30 who are lazy *** whiners who do nothing but complain about us while they play nintendo and let the cracks of their asses show. The younger generation are whiners, plain and simple. They are too lazy to investigate anything, and I bet most of them haven't read anything regarding what really happened on 911. They don't want to work at anything. They hate their parents but still mooch off of them. I'm not saying all people in this age group are like this, maybe 10 percent are not.

Everything is right in front of them and they cry "The US wouldn't do something like that to their own people." Sure they would if it meant power. So very naive they all are, and uneducated regarding 9-11.
One fact that they forget to take into consideration is this: Yes, Saudis crashed the jets into the WTC. But in the Middle East, it is an honor to die a martyr. The families of the pilots who crashed the planes are probably taken care of the rest of their living days. Now who might be behind that? There are too many inconsistencies to believe anything the 9-11 commission came up with. Besides, those who think our government is on the side of the people are niave idiots. It's all about world domination and power folks. Do you really think the government would listen to anything you had to say? Nope, because you don't make any difference to them whatsoever. We have no say so anymore. The President signs new laws without any vote, which gives him the right to put anyone in jail for as long as he wants if he thinks you may be unfriendly to US interests. The Patriot Act only came to be because of the support for heightened security brought on by 9-11. Great job G.W. Dubya! You did it, you pulled the wool over the whiners eyes. Not me.

Stupid people need to wake up and question authority for once in their uneducated lives. Life is not a Nintendo Game, it's real, and whiners are making it so easy for all US citizens to be screwed. Wake up, pull your fricken pants up, get a job, and stop whining and do something about it!

I support every single US citizen in the Armed Forces, I stand behind my country, and I love my country. This is not treason, this is my attempt to keep what our fathers gave us, the Constitution, our freedom is at stake, our own personal freedoms. Not anywhere but right here on US soil. This is where our real problems are and if the young generation doesn't wake up and smell the coffee, they will wonder and ask themselves 10 years from now "How could we have not seen this??" Wake up wake up wake up....

Winning the lottery 52 consecutive weeks is statistically possible, but you don't have to be a closed-minded right-wing nutjob to understand and accept that it's not going to happen in our lifetime.

So the point would seem to be HOW possible?

In any contingency plan, you must account for two basic factors: First, do the the "controllables" outweigh the "uncontrollables?" Second, does the payout outweigh the investment?

In the case of attacking your own country some of the "controllables" would be: Where is the Target? What is the minimum/maximum level of Loss? Who needs to know? Who can be trusted to remain quiet?

Some of the the "uncontrollables" would be: How many "eyes" will be on the scene during the operation? What evidence will be left behind after the fact? Who among the "trusted" might betray us?

Note that all the known "false flags" exposed involve single government or military targets far from U.S. soil. These attacks could be easily "controlled" and the proximity from any civilian or non-involved U.S. oversight would reduce the amount of "uncontrolled" observations.

The bombing of the marine barracks in Beirut under Reagan's watch, the African embassy attacks and USS Cole attack under Clinton's fit this profile much more closely. Though I still doubt that any of these events were "false flags" I'd have to day the possibility is far more significant than the 9/11 attacks.

The 9/11 targets were at the center of U.S. population, media and government. The loss of life was over ten times the worst known terrorist attack and most of the lives lost were civilians. Any evidence left over would be lying on U.S. soil and, in the ensuing chaos, could be picked up by any passer-by. Although there are claims that the WTC wreckage was whisked away right after 9/11 (claims that have been disproven), the actual clean up took over a year. Since no one could say for sure what evidence would land where, the cover-up would have had to account for every person who accessed Ground Zero every day since 9/11. In this case, the "uncontrollables" far outweigh the "controllables."

Finally, the question of payout. Even if all the "uncontrollables" could be covered, how large of an operation must that entail? How many people would have to be paid off or eliminated? How many of those people have relatives who would also have to be watched? Who would you trust to watch over those people and for how long could you trust them?

What possible reward could worth that expense? Do you really believe that a few billion dollars in revenue for Haliburton and Raytheon would come close to the cost of controlling 9/11? Couldn't the same thing have been accomplished with a few planes shot down over the Iraqi "no fly zone" or some chemical weapons planted in Baghdad for the benifit of the UN inspectors?

If Cheney is appointed "Dictator for Life" sometime before the 2008 elections, or if he's seen dancing the Macarena in Cozumel in 2020 with Herman Goerring, maybe I could see a worthwhile payout for him. But it would seem to me that the "rewards" of a 9/11 operation would have to be far greater than any of those claimed by conspiracy theorists.

Its not hard to believe that if u r in the know. Most ppl think that they will work all their lives retire and watch their grand kids grow up, however that is not the plan for the most influential ppl that have control over media, entertainment, and the other major arts, sciences, politics, business and basically any thing that the masses do. I wonder how many ceo's, senators,govs., world leaders, are really apart of the destruction of the world, I have a few names but u really dont know because its so secretive that we have no idea who is really behind the downfall of humanity. All the different religions, ppl hating one another for the color of their skin, sexual preferences, is all a smoke screen to keep the masses divided so they can manipulate everyone. It doesnt surprise me at all that the govt would do that. The ultimate goal is to bring the world together for a common cause be it poverty, aliens, terrorist acts, or war it has to be of a significant magnitude so the world can be united under the tragedy so the nwo can come into full effect. The US govt has been apart of so many scandals, cover ups, and murder plots all across the globe so to do it at home should be no surprise to ne one who has a clue as to what is going on in the world. The nwo has already begun no matter what those in the know do its too late. Ppl will not believe it until they r smacked in the face n their doors r kicked in, their babies beaten in front of them, their wives being raped in front of their husbands with nothing they can do about it. Its all a matter of time. Their maybe another attack onUS soil plotted by the US secretives folks will not wake up.The govt is willing to kill the undesirables at ne cost theres always be two types of ppl the have vs the have nots, n those who know vs those who dont.

We live in a capitalistic society. 9/11 cost this country billions in insurance claims, reconstruction, increased security, etc., etc. Why on Earth would our government take a financial hit of that magnitude, when they could have accomplished the same result, but on a much smaller scale?

How exactly do you propose that they were able to convince the Islamic Terrorists to join hands in America's attempt to start a war in the Middle East?

The Watergate, Gulf of Tonkin incident and Enron cases had relatively few people in on the scams, and all three were leaked to the public. The number of people it would've take to carry out the greatest mass murder in US history could've filled one of the towers. And yet there are zero leaks to the publc and a million conspiracy theories from that action so don't make me laugh. I'm assuming your indirectly referring to the attack on the Twin Towers...

NO its not possible...to many people would have to be involved to pull off an operation as big as 9/11

In case you missed it the President of the United States (Bill Clinton) couldn't even pull off getting a "nobber" from an intern while he was in office...the US Government also leaks information all the time (see libby scooter trial) they are also under constant scrutany from other Federal Agencies...it would be IMPOSSIBLE...end of story.
