Sounds crazy but it could be stress , my cat did when our other cat died she lost loads of fur on her back end, but once it started we couldnt stop it for years, the vet ruled out flees, but it could be a reaction to treatment.
Hope that helps

Was it flea treatment you got from a vets? Sometimes the pet shop ones don't work very well.
It's probably best to have her checked by a vet. They should be able to do a skin scrape and look at it under a microscope - there are some mites that cats can get. They'll probably advise regular flea treatment too, as flea allergy is very common in cats and just one flea bite can cause more irritation and hair loss.
There are a few bizarre hair loss conditions inherited in some cat breeds - is she a pedigree or a moggy? If she's a moggy then it's unlikely to be an inherited problem.
Occasionally cats with other diseases lose hair because they're run down or they have a hormonal problem - that's the other reason I'd advise a vet visit, although if she's acting well there's probably nothing to worry about.
Stress is another common cause of hair loss, but usually those cats lick a lot and that's why they lose the hair. Is there any chance she's sneaking off somewhere and licking when you're not looking?
Good luck at getting to the bottom of it!

This sounds like a condition you should have a vet check out. Usually when it happens, they are having an allergic reaction to something like fleas. If you are already treating for fleas, either the treatment isn't working 100% or the the cause is from something else.
Aside from another source of allergy, it may originate from
some sort of nutritional deficiency. And that alone could signal a problem internally.
It's best to have kitty checked by a vet.

Sorry about your cat. My cat who is 14 years old had a similar problem, I took her to the vets and she was tested and he suggested that she had a hormone deficiency and she now takes Dermachat, you can get a similar product in any which ever country you live, it is not too expensive for a packet of tablets. This has helped a lot.
Like your cat she does not seem to scratch a lot but she looked so miserable it was particularly sad when the fur came off her tail, it seemed as though she had lost all her glory and wanted to hide, but I told her she was still beautiful and loved her.
Good news the tail fur is growing again,
hope you find the solution for your cat!

i know you said shes been flea treated but it sounds like flea dermatitis if after being flea treated you still see fleas she has got super fleas and you will have to fork out for the cets flea treatment as its very good, i had the same with my dog. also another thing it could be is if you've got another cat or dog they could be cleaning this cat i know it sounds daft but my dads yorkshire terrier always washed the cat and licked it very bald!!!!!

All of the above is good advice.
But cats can have a phantom pregnancy and pull their own fur out to make a type of nest.
See a vet.

She could still have a flea allergy. My cat did, and we put him on those "flea pills" I had to give him every month and he got better.
I think your vet could tell you more tho. Good luck!
