raw meat
best I have made using the dehydrator is as follows


take thin sliced meat(London broil is best)
soak over night in a marinade of
soy sauce
brown sugar
liquid smoke
any other flavoring you wish(such as teryiacie)
remove meat from marinade and lay single layer on dehydratoror rack and begin to dehydrat rotating racks about every 4-6 hours
till meat is dried to a jerky
can take 8-24 hrs

No, jerky is dried meat, put your raw meat such as thin slices of beef in a marinade made of soy sauce, and what other seasonings you'd like, hhmmm we like barbecue sauce and liquid smoke. Let set in the sauce over night in the reridgerator . You can make jerky in the oven on 125 degrees and let it dry for hours if you don't have a dehydrator

no don't cook meat i use liquid smoke soy sauce and worstchesire sauce then put in dehydrator overnite i like to pull it out a little early when it is still a little soft
