I have a ton of stuff that my ex gf gave me and im wondering if i should get rid of it, it was a very painful break up for me and all of it reminds me of her. should i just give it all back to her?

Dump it all. Don't bother to give it back to her. Just chuck it in the trash can. Believe it or not, it helps.

No. Get rid of some of it because it will help you to feel as if you're shutting one door and starting through another. You should keep at least one or two things though because there will eventually come a day when you can remember the good about the relationship, or at the very least remember what you learned from it (although the things you do choose to hold on to should go into a box in the back of the closet out of sight for at least 5 years or so).

its up to you, you can hold on to it and out it away to look at another time in the future and it may remind you of all the good times you had together, or you could just get rid of it all, but you will still have memories and you will never get rid of those. Its a personal choice.

If you don't intend to get back together at all, I would recommend getting rid of the stuff.
If you wanna leave the option open, I would suggest keeping them, but let them remind you of the good times and happy moments.

Give it back. Having a break up is difficult, but really why keep it if it's just a constant reminder??

funny u should ask! i just submitted the same question about an hour ago. I have all my ex g/f gifts sitting on my table and part of me wants to send it all back. she cheated on me and lied. I am so angry with her, but sending it all back will make me look petty and insecure dont u agree?

i would say...pawn any jewelry...and throw out the rest...but keep one or two letters or cards..that really meant something to you when she gave them...i mean ...she's your ex...yes...but you did love her at one time...so you can't just completely erase her from your life...if you feel bad giving her stuff back...ask her what you should do with it....or just send it to her....goodluck and feel better

donate it to a shelter, goodwill or put it in a garbage bag and leave it for the garbage man.
You shouldn't be giving this so much of your time.

dont bother giving it back to her.forget ur past thrown everything out.enjoy ur present dont think of ur past and spoil ue present.
