Well, I'm going on my second week of the same thing but I figured out that allergies are also kicking in. I've found some relief with Benadryl although it makes me sleepy. Hope this helps.

Make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals to support your bodies fight. Often we are deficient in zinc which stops the immune system working properly.

Also make sure you are taking time to rest, if you have been working through it your body is unable to take the energy to fight a cold. Sometimes a day off work is better than less effective 5 or 10 days!

This has always helped me: Take half of a lemon and squeeze the juice into a coffee mug. Then add hot water, and a couple of teaspoons of honey to taste. Always seems to work for me. Also make sure that you are getting enough vitamin C and drink plenty of fluids. And take multi vitamins.
