My face gets all red when I am embarassed?

Sometimes its not even when i get embarassed, like when a cute guy talks to me, or when i get called on in class! What can I do?!?

When you blush, your nerves send extra blood through your capillaries. This is known as vasodilation. The rest of us call it blushing.

Remember...blushing is a reflex- you do it without thinking. So for now whenever you feel yourself get "red," try to think of something cold like ice water. I hear that may help.

And if your friends tease you about how red your face is, just shrug and say "I can't help it. I'm just one of those people that vasodilate alot." :)

Well, it's called 'blushing' and nearly everyone blushes.

Some people blush more easily than others (I, too, am one of those).

Just take a slow, deep breath, and try to focus on what you're doing.

Sorry, there's not a lot to be done.

It DOES get better as you get older -- not that that doesn't you any good now.

Lucky of you it a natural feminish character, girl look prettier when they get embarrassed, may I know the name of the lucky guy. Be Happy with the cherished gift of nature, Eeer don't blush too much at times, lol. and never get carried away, pay attention to your studies.
May be one day you will become a doctor like me and as a medical student you will you living in paradise, and this time you will be confident enough to deal with any Tom, Dick and Harry.

That used to happen to me all the time. Still does, but not as much. As you get older and become more confident and less shy, it's less likely to happen.

I have never found a physical way to get rid of it completely, though. Sorry.
