im 12 years old and will be thirteen in septemer and i really want to get my bellybutton peirced in the summer holidays do you think its a good idea?

If its something you want done then yea, go for it...i dont regret having mine done when i was younger just make sure a parent or guardian takes you, and you go somewhere clean and recommended by people in your area!

Hi your a bit young to get this done, and it's against the law to do any piercings or tattoos without adult consent. So you will need your parents permission to do it as you are under 18. Wait a while untill you are at least 16, and if you still really want to do it, ask your parents then.
When you do eventually get it done, make sure that you keep it clean while it's healing. With regards to the type of belly button ornament, I have a 24kt ring. My daughter has a bar bell. each took different times to heal, which will also depend on what metal you use. gold not under 18kt, surgical steel, titanium, etc.
You have alot of time to grow up. don't rush, I didn't get my belly button pierced untill i was in my late 20's. my daughter got her's done at 18.

Totally Awesome Just Make Sure Your Parents Are Cool With It. I've Had Mine Since I Turned 12 Its Was My Sister-In-Laws B-day Gift To Me. Go For It If You Really Want It. Make Sure Your Not Getting It Because Someone Says It Looks Hott! And Get The Barbell The Ring Takes Longer To Heal

If that what you want go for it. I'm 18 and I got mine done when I was 13 and I still love til this day. All you have to do though is have a parent or guardian sign you up. And believe me I have my tongue, belly , nose, and ears pierced and a belly peircing really don't hurt that bad. You just got to take good care of it, listen to any advice the professional gives you, and keep it very clean.

Im thirteen and i'm considering it too. If you really want to get it done then don't go to a crappy salon. Some GPs (doctors lol) do piercings. If you get it done there then at least you know it will be clean. Getting it done is very painful and it can get infected easily. Also, the skin can rip. Just warning you! lol. It's your decision if you want to get it done or not, just make sure you take care to avoid infections. xx

I personally think that it is a bad idea because I saw my cousins belly button peircing go from cute to gross in two months. It got all infected and looked really gross. Now she regrets ever going through with the whole thing.

Absolutely Not!
You are much too young & besides no decent piercing outfit will do it for you before the age of 18. If any does say they will do it I would be very careful of their hygiene. If they flout the law on cleints ages I am sure they will not be fussy about the health, hygiene & safety issues.
Ask your mother if she thinks it is a good idea.

Ive had mine done for a year and i got it done when i woz 14.. i do not regret it,, but you shouldnt really be asking on here whether to get your belly pierced or not,, its yours and your parents decision!!
mine took a while to clear up.. you are responsible for your piercing,, you have to clean it everyday and then make sure you buy suitable bars to put in! if u do not clean it you could get an infection and the piercing is near your umbilical cord and if the infection spreads to that it could affect your chances of having children (this is what ive been told!)
if you decide to get it done,, please look after it!! and then i doubt you'll regret it!

i'm pretty sure you wont be allowed to until your older. its classed as a body piercing and you shouldnt have it till you're 18 or 16 with consent from parent / guardian.
its good that u are waiting to make the decision, u need to make sure ur parents agree too. and dont think u can just take it out if u dont like it cus it leaves a really yucky scar. talk it over with ur parents n c what they think.

my daughter got hers at 13 you have to really take care of it you must clean with sea salt three times a day for the first month if you dont it can get infected if you can do that sure go for it in wisconsin it is not legal until you are 16 so i had to lie and tell the piercer that my daughter was 16

my sister had her belly button pierced when she was 13 she is 14 now. as long as it ok with your parents then its not a problem you have to have a adult with you when you have it done coz otherwise they wont let u hav it done. i think it look really nice. if i was you i would have a good long talk to your mum about and if she argrees have it done if you want to. my sister loves her belly button piercing she has got a playboy belly bar, if your mum does not agress then respect that, and wait untill you are 18. i had mine done when i was 16 it looks cool but like i said have a good long talk with your mum about it hope this helps x
