Any ideas for a dessert we can serve with steak and shrimp? Looking for something that will impress without being too difficult to prepare.
Thank you!

Since it's steak and shrimp for dinner, I'd suggest a lighter dessert.

Something that's easy to prepare, and inexpensive, is a simple fruit parfait. A piece of pre-baked cake, like angel food, topped with fruit salad and (optionally) whipped cream. To add a really "classy" touch, shave some chocolate on top, and/or garnish it with fresh mint leaves.

We had a pig roast potluck and this dessert was a real hit.

Skor Trifle

1 box of chocolate cake mix, bake cake according to directions on box in a 9 x 13 pan.
2 large instant chocolate puddings, prepare according to directions on boxes
1 package of Dream Whip(2 envelopes) prepare as per directions on package. You can use fresh cream whipped to the same amount or Cool Whip.
4 bars of Skor, crushed

Cool cake and break into 3 pieces. Crumble 1 piece into a trifle dish or another high sided dish. Cover with one third of the pudding and sprinkle with skor bar. Crumble another piece of cake on top, follow with pudding, now one half of whipped topping and skor. Now finish with crumbled cake, pudding, the rest of whipped topping and last crumbles skor.
Refridgerate at least 3 hours.

You can increase servings just by putting in a number. Try their site for more ideas. I have a bunch saved to my recipe box.

There's other recipe sites like this too.

You could make a couple different flavors of cheesecake. I suggest an apple/cinnamon or perhaps a berry flavored.
