She is 6 months old and weighs about 11 pounds. She is a Boston Terrier/Jack Russell mix.

I have tried putting her in the kennell and covering it, but that didn't help either....

Is it possible that she will outgrow this?

Don't feed her/him at lease 4 hours before leaving, do make sure she has plenty of water. I never feed my dogs until after arriving at destination.
She will out grow it in time.
My vet suggested giving her a eye dropper [half of it] filled with Peso Bismol ] before the trip it settles their tummy's and relaxes them.

I had a dog with this problem. They tend to outgrow it fortunately. Don't feed her for at least 3 hours before you go for a ride. Take lots of short trips at first and avoid longer ones. This will reduce her anxiety and get her more used to riding in the car and since the trip will be too short to get sick, she won't associate car trips with being sick.

You are just going to need to give it time and a little work and patience and with any luck she'll get past it.

Grass does not settle a dog's stomach.

Vets can prescribe medication for this. There are also natural/herbal remedies available. Here are some places to shop for those:

Good luck!

Also, nix the crate. Leave her in the backseat where she can move around and see outside. Or in the passenger seat if you can.

I have a dog like that, my vet told me to give her either a dramamine or a benedryl about 30 min-1 hour before transporting her. It helped. I also noticed if I kept her cooled and where she could see out of the window, she done alot better. When she started licking her lips, she was about to go.

You should just let her eat grass until you go with the car , and also take some grass in a bag with you while driving . Anytime she feels sick she would eat grass . That's what my best friend was doing with her dog and it was working .
