Bringing my family from Scotland to Montreal in early April to decide whether we would like to live there. Is it a good city to live. Where should we go see whilst there?

Hi I went to Montreal for a holiday last December and its a FAB city. There,s the olympic stadium, the bio-dome, mount royal, insectarium and if your family are into shopping Montreal's the place with 20 miles of underground shopping malls plus lots more to do and see. I,d go back again as it,s an excellent city. Have fun when you go, A

Hi! I live about an hour out of Montreal but I go there all the time. There is plenty to do and see! I never get tired of going there and always find new interested to go to or try out! The biodome/insectarium/botanic gardens are always a favorite family outing! There is also La Ronde, a huge amusement park with awesome rides! Entertainement is never lacking... there are constant festivals (Just For Laughs is a popular one!), concerts, plays, etc. Honestly, the only thing I dont like about Montreal is the traffic!
Where in Scotland are you from? I was there 2 summers ago. Montreal is a big city, very vibrant and known for its nightlife. 2-3 hours away, you have Quebec City, which is much smaller, offers much history, and has a bit of the Edinburgh-feel to it!

It's a great city, one of the most cosmopolitan and muliti-cultural in the world, so trying to tell you everything there is to see would be like trying to tell you what to see in London (but Montreal is 1/5 the population). And the best part of the USA (Vermont) is only an hour away. But Montreal is blemished by the (mostly provincial) French vs English language bs, and if you are not a winter snow and cold lover you will want to stay in Scotland.

Montreal is great, but early April is the worst! You can't decide based on that--go in June!

Museums and churches, I guess.
