I bought a ham steak a few weeks ago and need to use it before it expires. I don't want to fry it because that's just too boring. Anyone have any ideas? No limitations on ingredients (i.e. doesn't have to be fat free, low fat, low carb., etc.) As long as it's kid-friendly, I'm game. Thanks everyone!

How do your kids feel about Scallop Potatoes? I'd chop it up and add it to them. The spuds can be from boxed or home made, however you choose. Or...how about a pineapple and ham pizza...I know kids love that!

Put on a baking dish top with some pineapple slices - drained. Make a sauce with brown sugar, pinch of powdered cloves, dry mustard, and the pineapple juice with a little butter. You can add some sherry or white wine if you have some. For serving put some maraschino cherries in the center of the pineapple rings.

you dont say how thick the steak is but this might work---place the steak in a oven bag and add up to 12 ozs. of coke(soda) to the bag and bake for at least 30 minutes at 350-375 degrees. worked for a small ham and was delicious.

Well you could make an omelet. Use some eggs, and add the ham. You can even throw in some onions and sweet peppers!

My husband says for kid-friendly, cube it up and put it in mac & cheese. Personally, I'd put it in a split pea soup. (Don't know how well your kids like that...)
