It can and does happen. When my daughter was only 5 years old developed a lump in her breast. I thought she was too young for developing breasts. Cancer runs in both sides of our family, so I took her to see a specialist. It was the beginning of her developing breasts. She also started having the body odor and stinky feet thing when she was your daughter's age. I had to make sure I bought her shoes that would not cause her feet to sweat excessively. She bathed every day like your daughter, and I bought her some deodorant and body powder, and had her to begin to pay attention to her body hygiene.

I totally agree with "To Sunny Mexico," the hormones in the meat and milk are responsible for children developing early, as scientists have proved it.

This is the prepuberty stage. Kids now days are developing a lot sooner. My son started getting BO at 7 and I ended up buying him deodorant. Now he is 10 and is getting long hairs under his arms already! The doctor says it is normal and kids are reaching puberty a lot sooner than they used to because of all the hormones that they are putting in our food and milk now. My 10 year old daughter on the other hand has not started yet with the BO yet, it all depends on the child. I would not make a big deal about it just take her to bath and body works and let her pick out some products that she can wear.

Children mature at different ages, and body odor could be a precursor to puberty. This can happen quite a long time before the event of getting her period, but should not be ignored, nonetheless. It is a good opportunity to begin a discussion with her about the changes her body will go through as she gets older, and the importance of being clean and taking care of herself. If she smells as though she needs deodorant, get her some and teach her about using it. I have one niece who started using deodorant at that age, and another who got her period when she was 9. My son started using deodorant around age 8, and we use a powder in his socks to cut down foot odor. Your daughter is completely normal :) Have a kind, gentle conversation with her, and you will both be glad you did. Good luck!

Little boys have a notorious dislike for laundry, particularly washing with cleansing soap. or per chance he has a favourite blouse that he likes to positioned on each of the time and "forgets" to positioned into the laundry bog down? it may nicely be the garments that are stinky, no longer him. I encountered this problem with a fellow-brownie when we were on brownie camp. She had in undemanding words presented one sweater for the week and after some days it replaced into exceedingly whiffy, even inspite of the actuality that she showered daily herself. Has he been eating any ingredients that could want to provide him a more acceptable body scent, like garlic, onion or curry/chilli? Or has he been ill those days? each each now and then having a cold or different malicious program can make you scent slightly humorous. in case you rule out all of those and your son nevertheless has BO after some days then possibly a visit to the physician is a sturdy considered as sure there is not any different problem.

Julie B, my son was age 7 when he started to get body Oder. I took my son to the Dr. due to other things happening with his body also. The Dr did confirm he was starting early puberty.
So don`t be alarmed. Plus my daughter is 8 and has BO badly also, and she showers daily also. The Dr says its due to all the hormone's put in our food now days. Hope i was helpful.

Um, buy her a stick of deodorant and show her how to apply it. It's not unheard of for 7 year olds to get body odor. It could be the start of puberty; some girls get their periods as young as 8 or 9.

My neighbor had this problem with her 5 year old. She took her daughter to a MD. He thought it was high levels of hormones from her large daily intake of milk.
She has not had further problems since the decrease. Coincidence? I don't know but the parents' noticed a major change after a week. Good Luck.

Girls are maturing and entering pre-pubescence far earlier than we did. So it isn't out of the realm of possibility that their bodies will change, physically and chemically. If this is a big concern for her and you, consult your pediatrician about what mild form of deodorant is appropriate for a child her age. Don't just start using any deodorant because they may contain harsh ingredients that your child shouldn't be exposed to yet.

Good luck!

I'm pretty sure that body odour isn't the first sign of puberty - has she got taller recently? Most children start puberty closer to 9 at the earliest. Make sure she is wearing loose fitting clothing, made of cotton that allows her skin to breathe. Regular bath/showers and changes of clothing should sort it. If her feet smell, check her shoe allow air to get to her feet, and that she's wearing cotton socks. If still a problem check them for foot problems.
