This is perfectly normal in my opinion. My dog is almost 5 years old and it never barks. Some dogs have it in their nature to bark a lot, and this could be a sign of anger or just agression. Dogs that don't bark sometimes are a little shy, but my dog is quite the opposite. You really shouldn't worry and should take it as almost a blessing. This way your dog won't bother the neighbors or any other dogs. The only time my dog barked was when he saw my young brothers toy fire engine. He barked because he was scared. Good luck!

Oh yes. A lot of it depends on the breed but this can be very normal. I have a Whippet who didn't bark until he was almost a year old. Some dogs just don't bark. If you're truly concerned, though, I'd suggest taking a little trip to the vet and getting a general check up done just to be sure it's not a sign of something else. If it's eating, drinking and going to the bathroom normally then the chances of it being something serious are slim.

You must be in heaven to own a dog that has chihuahua in its bloodline and does not bark! Enjoy the silence. You may just have a quiet natured dog that does not feel the need to express itself vocally. Sooner or later your dog will probably vocalize itself but for now enjoy it! If it is still a concern for you, have your pup checked by the vet just to ease your mind. Good luck.

I definitely have a Yorkie that thinks he's a glance after dogs. The solutions above me are proper. in case your dogs is excessively barking at each thing, he will study that it really is okay to easily bark at each thing!! My Yorkie all began that way. Everytime something went 'boo' he all started barking. It replaced into SO annoying! yet when we had him educated to the traditional issues, he grew to develop into an quite strong look after dogs. Now associates of my can come and flow. So can acquaintances and their dogs. yet we stay in an living house with upkeep and insect adult adult males that comprise assistance from from time to time. The malicious program guy has a key and in simple terms walks in (stupid, i be conscious of). even as my puppy heard an basic noise, he went off! i have under no circumstances considered him that way. The malicious program guy flipped out. I were given my dogs even if the malicious program guy had to go away for a even as and then come again and knock so i ought to respond to the door (something my dogs replaced into used to). My dogs wasnt going to enable some unusual individual in simple terms enable themselves into our living house. preparation your youthful puppy now is going some distance!!

Lots of puppies don't bark yet at 3 months of age. Wait til he gets a little more confidence in himself and finds something he feels he needs to bark at :)

I am not sure with a puppy, my dog seldom does(golden retriever) but she's a rescue, and I was told by my vet it is because she was kept in a kennel box for the 1st 2yrs of her life and that it hurts their ears when they bark inside the box. She just growls to let me know something is up

I would not worry too much about it. One of my dogs did not start barking until he was about 7 months old, then he "found his voice". Your dog could be the same way and may not start barking until he/she is a bit older.
