I'm looking for a Home Theater system that is priced less than $200. Any good suggestions?

JVC makes a decent one. Look on their website, then do a search for the model online...

Should be more about 300$ but Yamaha does some nice home theater systems for a low price. And they're very good!

Some nice cheap brands are LG and Thomson too.

If you are willing to put your faith in Consumer Reports (I do), a few months ago they tested "Home-Theater-in-a-Box" systems, which contain a DVD player, amp, and speakers. The systems they recommend that are closest to your price range are:

Panasonic SC-HT740 ($335)
Samsung HT-Q45 ($295)
JVC TH-C30 ($270)
Sony HT-DDW900 ($290)

If you shop around, you probably can find these systems at a discount.

whatever your do to have the best sound make sure all your speakers are the same. dont have front sony speakers and a pioneer center, if you do that the sound wont be matched. Walmart has some pioneers for 200 and I saw an RCA that looked decent for 150. good luck

If you can just wait and save up just a little bit more money...You could get this ONKYO...Go and listen to this model and you'll see it's better than the other suggestions...Click right here: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Home-Theater-Systems/sem/rpsm/catOid/-12954/N/20012898+20012954+40001308/link/ref/rpem/ccd/categorylist.do

You could but it would not be a decent one. It's impossible at that price.Better wait until you can afford something better.
