I normally just saute mine with butter and salt, but I found a recipe in a church cookbook that my sister in law gave me for Christmas, and even my picky 3 year old loves it! Not *quite* along the lines of what you're looking for, but I guarantee if you make it, you'll make it again. :)

Baked Mushrooms

1 lb. small mushrooms, either whole or sliced
1 stick butter
1 t. onion, finely chopped (I use dried minced and it works fine. Who wants to mince ONE teaspoon of onions? lol)
1 clove garlic, minced
3/4 t. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 t. dried rosemary
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper

Preheat oven to 325 F. Place mushrooms in baking dish. Melt butter and stir in spices. Pour over the mushrooms and bake uncovered for 45 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking.

I saute mushrooms in butter with small onion rings. Add about a tablespoon of dill...more or less to your taste. Then add enough sour cream to make it into a creamy sauce. This is yummy served on the side, or over steak, or even on a baked potato!

mmmmmm that sounds good to. Take that and put it on a salad. Or I sautee mushrooms add salt and pepper after and make a grilled cheese sandwich with it.

Or a can of cream of mushroom soup mixed with a bit of water not to make it like soup mixed cooked pasta in it. In a baking dish one layer of the paste some chedder cheese, bit of feta cheese, and sauteed mushrooms. Just continue to do that until the dish is filled and the top layer has the chedder cheese on. bake and there you go.

I use fresh mushrooms and saute them in butter and red wine. Make sure to use real butter, not margerine.
