when I was 7 yrs , I felt big pain inside and cried seeing the blood from the neck of chicken. My grand mom was cutting the chickens neck alive.

Only after I learned evolution theory I understood why I felt pain seeing the chicken be killed.

according to the the evolution theory all living things has
common root. we are all brothers and sisters.

Like the late Carl Sagan said on television we all living things are relatives.

So how cant we love all living beings!!! That s exactly all great religions are teaching to us!!!

Christians can tell evolution is the god"s way how living things grow and develop.

Then there will be no conflict between evolutionists and creationists.

Am I naive?

Not naive at all.

I think that understanding evolution and that man is just a part of nature, and that the animals and plants that share our planet are made from the same stuff, and come from the same source, and in many cases, we even share ancestry with them is a potential path towards the development of human spirituality, empathy and 'one-ness' with the universe.

The only conflict between evolution and religion is between the physical evidence showing that evolution has occurred, and a few lines in the Book of Genesis that taken literally violate almost every known principle of physics, chemistry, geology and biology we know.

Evolution is not a religion, because in theory, religion should affect every aspect of our daily lives ... not just answering the question of where we came from. If evolution has taught you to value all life, human or otherwise, that's great ... but that's not included in the teachings of evolution itself. Understand what I'm saying? Therefore, you've built a belief structure based around the idea that we are all related through evolution, but the scientific theory of evolution itself can't be classified as a religion.

I was watching this documentary about the creation of planets (ours and others) and what a perfect, intricate system it is. If the fundamentalists would get past this literal interpretation of Genesis nonsense, they would see that there are plenty of things in nature that are complex and beautiful that could be attributed to god. But instead of accepting these things as god's work, they dismiss them as blasphemy and hold tight to the creationist theory. Personally, I think if you're looking for god, you'll be more likely to find him/her/it in the intricacies of the universe than in the pages of some archaic book.

Back when you were 7 the day before, you most likely never a second thought to your chicken dinner. But you seem to have forgotten IT is food.
and if you lived in another place or another time , 'YOU'. would have been directed to Kill the chicken,, if you were lucky enough to have one.
Society has shielded you as children because we no longer have to do the daily work found where daily life requires doing the dirty work to eat good food.
Evolution has nothing to do with your pain, that is a psychological impairment or missed placed compassion..
You need to watch more of the Discovery, National Geographic and Documentary TV programs
Carl Sagan was concerned with the Universe and the possibility's in its expansion.
IS a chicken a being?? or just food both meat and eggs.

We are not related to chickens, or monkeys, or any animal. No human ever evolved from an animal, and no animal ever evolved from another.

This is a pseudo-scientific explanation for creation without a Creator. There is no explanation for how this could have occurred. Mutations are virtually always harmful, not helpful for survival. And if evolution occurs so slowly that we are unable to observe it, how could organisms survive with organs and faculties that were non-functional? A land creature with fore limbs that are evolving into wings. The wings are too small for flight, and unable to grasp prey. What a ridiculous theory!

There is no scientific explanation for the existence of life. Speculations like evolution are just fairy tales for grownups.

Thats not religious. It really isn't. You've just made a depserate attempt to justify your religion.

Religions aren't teaching us to live together. Christianity most definately isn't. Take a look at the things that have happened in the past with religion. Then take a look at the things you see Christians doing today. Really think about it.

How is being prejudiced against the gay population, and using the bible to support it, ever teaching people to learn to live together?

There's a reason why this conflict exists and its because the religious people can't seem to learn to butt out of other peoples lives.

Evolution advances a theory of how living things came to be that has nothing whatsoever to do with the account of the creation in Genesis. At the same time your Grandmom was killing the chicken, countless human beings were dying. Did you feel their pain? People who are unused to it often find the killing of livestock to be unpleasant. It doesn't suggest a psychic link.

I think it is a beautiful theory. I believe those of us who can not dismiss logic and proof, but still have a true belief in the Creator will all agree. Our individual theories may vary but essentially are the same!

God's way, God's time! That is my theory.

I think the pain was emotional pain, same as for any pain you see caused to one of God's creatures.

Unfortunately... you are naive.

Being related doesn't change anything. It is just our cultural morals that give that significance. In the state of nature a family is merely a unit than helps ensure mutual survival. This is balanced by the desire to be the only one to survive and pass on genes. As you actually won't be the only one to survive, this ensures that better genes are pased on.

Religions often teach us nothing. Only their cores have any moral value at all. If you need God to live compassionately, you are an amoral person.

There will be conflict between creationists and SCIENTISTS because scientists objectively find the truth while creationists force BS propaganda.

In a perfect world, we'd be communist/socialist. Unfortunately, the world isn't perfect, and communism doens't work. In Utopia, your comments are enlightened. In our world, unfortunately, they are naive.

That isn't why you felt pain, and it doesn't make evolution a religion, since there's no supernatural component. But I do see where you're coming from.

What you are describing is "theistic evolution". The idea that evolution is the tool God used to produce us. It's not a bad idea. The only people who don't like it are the fanatics who froth at the mouth when they hear the word "fossil".

Something to bear in mind: Science is not at war with religion. It never has been. However, religious extremists are at war with science.
