No, it means dependents (wife, kids). If you're talking about your health insurance.
However, if you mean as beneficiary to your life insurance, then anyone including your neighbor's cat could get it.

You can only get military insurance for your extended family if you claim them as dependents and can prove that you support over 1/2 of their income... for example if you had a mom or dad w/a disease that prevented them from working and they were living w/you or if you became the legal guardian of your younger sister or brother... something along those lines... but in general no...

I'm in the Navy. Health insurance is only for your dependents. That is your spouse, and your children. It could also apply to a parent, but only if that parent is your dependent. For example, if your mother is old and unable to take care of herself and you have her living with you. Hope this helps!

Umm your sister, brother, maybe parents could be a beneficiary. you'd have to go to your medical office and ask them or ask maybe a recruiter cuz I know a girl who has her lil brother on her medical insurance as a dependent.. it might just depend on who, what, where, when, why, and how your base handles things like that. I guess sweetie ask maybe the recruiters office..

sorry no, dependent medical care only applies to a wife and/or kids.
There is no way to supply health insurance to your parents other than buying it.
