I am a software designer and not the biggest fan of some of the things that Microsoft does, but I have to tell you, Windows Vista is beautiful to look at and when something is beautiful to look at, you can look at it longer before you get tired of it.
If you can't tell that's a glowing reivew.

do a web search on

plus to have windows vista running as it should you will need a GIG of memory, top of the range graphics card, and plenty of disk space,
windows premium version @$159.99 for the upgrade version or $239.99 for the full version.
join a windows Vista forum and find out what all the problems are before buying it
you can also check out the PC Magazines web sites also check out other opperating systems that you can get for free.with all the programs you will ever need also free

First of all you have to have a capable system, which will fit the system requirements, and that is a very high end PC so you can be capable of using Vista at its max. I am using windows vista home premium and I like it, you have to get used to it. So upgrade to Vista if you have the sys req. !!! Good luck...

Vista is the worst, it's mainly like windows me, but prettier. I had bought a computer with it already installed and I had nothing but problems with it, first none of my programs I had on my other computer would work on it, a printer I had just bought didn't work with it, I couldn't burn dvd's or cd's on it, ect. Luckily, two of my friends are computer guru's, one a programmer and the other a tech. They both looked at it and laughed saying the program looked like it was created in about 2 hours. So, I ended up formatting my computer and putting xp on it.
