Well i had this boy and he was so cute but one day he told me that i was cute and i didn't know what to say so i turned around and said bye, i'll see you later. What was i suppose to say or do.

or "am I??" or "mee!!" and he'll continue saying that and much more ;)

Yeah, once I'd wanted this older guy for years, and one day out of the blue, he said, "Hey, (my name). Why don't you come over here and kiss me?" I froze, looked right at him, and turned away. I was young, just like you, but even I've changed. Now, I'm a tiger. If I ever see that boy again, I'm going to rock his f***ing world! Don't worry. Next time say, "Thanks. I know," and give him a smile and a lingering look. You have to be confident, as well as giving him some hope.

Let me see if I've got this straight: he says you're cute, and you take that to mean he doesn't like you?
But the direct answer to your question has already been given: simply say 'Thank you'. It truly is the most gracious thing you can say. Take a compliment and be grateful.

Said it was cool that he liked you but you need some time to think about it. That way you dont need to make an instant decision and do something rash because you could not think like you did.

Well that's pretty dumb of you to do that. You should've said anything rather than just turning around and saying goodbye, that'll be like turning him off. You could've said something like.."your not too bad yourself", i dunno sumthin like that. Im not a girl, but i'd be pleased if sumone complimented me like that. And apparently you need English Lessons too.
