On St. Patrick's Day (yesterday) I went to a Golf Galaxy store and tried both the Callaway FT-1 and the Nike SQ2 in their swing chamber. The swing chamber measures all aspects of the launch angle, club-head speed, ball speed, spin rate, etc. I hit about 20 balls with each and found that both clubs were equally straight, but I hit the Callaway about 10 - 15 yards farther than the Nike. I had the Speeder shaft in the Callaway and the standard Nike shaft in the SQ2 -- both were R-flex. I also liked the sound of the Callaway much better than the Nike.
I am an 8-handicap, hit lots of fairways and average about 235-240 yds on my tee shots.
Hope that helps.

well the FT-i is $500 and the SQ2 is $400. they are about the same driver and yes its true that the SQ2 got recalled but the defect only caused the ball to go 1-2 yards farther plus its being fixed. If u dont play in any tournaments get the SQ2 and have fun, I love Callaway but I'v heard too many good things bout the SQ2.

It all depends on your swing. Try them both out. However the Nike Sumo2 is being recalled. Callaway has awesome customer service too. For example: if you break the shaft unintentionally they will reshaft it for you.

You want the one that first, looks like you can hit a tee ball with it, second, gives you the most positive feedback(sound and feel) when you hit the tee ball. Only you can make those judgments. The technology in drivers has just about maxed out and most are equal when it comes to MOI(moment of inertia) and ROI(return of inertia). The next advancement will come with new materials and/or different guidelines.

you would have to test them and determine for yourself...no one can tell you one or the other would be better for you , especially since they dont know your swing , game, or financial restrictions(so look to demo them at a golf course near you)...callaway clubs generally cost more but retain more of their value over time than other clubs (trade in value)...work hard, good luck and putt well!
