I'm thinking of buying a new samsung camera, any opinions on the nv3 and vn10?

If the choice is between those two, take the NV3, but I'd look at Canon, Nikon or Sony before considering these cameras. Throwing in an mp3 player is cool, but unless you're botthered by carrying around two devices, why bother?
These cameras are, at best, average in image quality, and maybe above average in usability. Samsung is an excellent electronics manufacturer: they build great TV's, and maybe they should stay in that market.
If you buy either one of them, you're in for a lot of frustration in taking low light shots because they look smudgy, and daylight shots because you can't see the LCD in bright sunlight, and they don't include an optical viewfinder to overcome that.
