I believe we always have soul mates in our lives, they may not be the people we feel comfortable with, in fact the likely case is that our soul mates more often than not make us feel uncomfortable. The reason for this is that soul mates are designed to be a part of our lives so that our soul may evolve or at least have the opportunity to evolve. The reason they make us feel uncomfortable is because they take us just beyond our comfort zone so that we can grow. So whether you are partnered or not there are people (even animals etc) that are intrinsically part of your life to help your soul evolve - these individuals are your SOUL MATES.
And Yes, I have several.........

That is such a good question.
Astrologically, I've known somebody for years called Sophie and we probably are kind of close to it but not as lovers, we're just supposed to be friends I think.
When I was at art college in 1987 I knew a girl called Linda....I can't believe I'm telling you this.....and I'm blushing lol....Anyway, I used to see her at the bus stop every morning and we would get the giggles just by looking in to each others eyes. She would usually be there first and as I crossed the road to go to the bus stop and wait with her we'd meet eyes and it would usually start with a smirk as I got half way accross the road and it seemed like I got the giggles first (I'm terrible once I get started....it doesn't even matter if people are shooting at me, in fact that makes me worse) but maybe we just got started at the same time.
I wonder if she remembers it the same way.
She had a boyfriend anyway and got pregnant about two thirds of the way through the first year and she dropped out.
I only ever saw her once after that and I didn't really get the chance to talk to her. If I meet her in the next life, I'll propose to her as soon as I meet her.....and I'll probably get the giggles and she'll think I'm making fun of her.
A few years ago, I worked with a girl who was about 15 years younger than me and when I looked in to her eyes, it was almost the same as it was with Linda but it seemed the world vanished except for her eyes. Not that we'd get the giggles so much btu it was strange.
I can't believe I've just told so many people all that.
I have met lot's that could be considered potential soulmates...there's another one where I work now!
Even weirder, there will be another one in the year 3517. Perhaps, cryogenic freezing is not such a good idea....but that's a long story which you may get to read if it gets published...if I get it written! I never said life was straight forward.

I'm only 22, and I've met a lot of friends and boys that I've clicked with. I don't think any are my soul mate. I feel humans are too fickle and uncaring to really have soul mates. Instead, I think you can have deep bonds with multiple people.
I've been with my current boyfriend for 3.5 years. He understands me and loves me and my flaws. I feel the same way for him. I would not necessarily call him a soul mate, even though we can have deep conversations.
I think if I do have a soul mate, it would be with an animal. Animals are highly intuitive and expressive, and I suspect I would bond with them best.

Yes, i have met my soul mate the one that i belong with that fits in my life in every way...
the bible says that god put Adam in a deep sleep in took his rib in made eve... and since she was bone of his bone and flesh from his flesh she was called women.. so, i think to be a soul mate you must fit from deep within by the rib. When you find your soul mate you should never let them go because life will never be the same with out them... I don't believe a soul mate is to be just a sex partner a soul mate is someone that your meant to share your life with and very few people find there soul mate.. i found mine and some how we broke up but i want to get back with him and i know we will one day because we are meant to be and i feel that from deep within. i know when something wrong with him with out talking to him and he knew the same because he would feel it ... and that's what a soul mate is....
