I've looked and looked for this answer, and the answer is, you can't get rid of it any faster than if you did nothing. However, if you want to make it not sore, get Listerine and swish a small amount over the sore for 30 seconds. It will hurt like crazy for that time (or maybe just 15 seconds) but then it will be numbed for quite a while, and you'll forget it's even there. Just carry a bottle around with you and repeat every half an hour or so.

There are products over the counter you can buy like canka for example, yet what remedy i found works best for me, it sounds bad, yet it eventually heals it, salt on the wound, will sting for a minute, then eventually start to heal it up, if too harsh swirl around salt water, hope that helps..

Usually you just have to suffer through it. There are OTC meds than can numb / relieve the pain.
