I really like her alot and we are pretty good friends. I have no way of contacting her now and will see her in the summer. How can I ask her out or show that I really like her because we will be in Italy and I live in America so I cant do much there?

You would be best off asking this girl about herself. As you are already pretty good friends you may have a good chance of taking your friendship further. English girls and women are individuals and no-one could truthfully tell you what we're all like, nor indeed what all of us think about Americans. Some English people are nasty and contemptuous of Americans and all things American, some think everything American is wonderful, others think Americans are all individuals and take people as they find them. I think the last is the most sensible. All I could tell you is that some Americans (even very nice ones) that I've known have clearly believed the old fallacy that the rest of the world wants to be American and live in America. While we like you well enough, most of us are happy being who we are and living our own lives in our own countries, or if we aspire to live elsewhere, it is not necessarily in the US.
You sound like a pleasant enough chap, so just be yourself, show a friendly interest in her and treat her with respect. Oh, by the way, try not to talk too much about money! Why can't you make contact with her till the summer? Don't you have or can't you get her address? It would be nice if you could write her some nice letters, and then the two of you would have more to talk about when you meet.

Why don't you ask one question at a time.
England's winter is cold and damp and runs from about Nov to April. Spring is a great time of year. Summer these days is getting very hot. Autumn is great too.
As for what English girls age 18 like - you need to ask that question.

we are fab! we love everything english, dislike most foreigners, behind their backs, but are lovely to their faces!
