A community that has mowed lawns, painted homes and fences, and a generally clean look highly affect the community. Garbage overflowing, old cars left around, unkept yards, broken fences, broken concrete for sidewalks can make a community look really badly. High polution factors can really affect the community. Strong fumes, smoky smoke stacks can hurt the community. A community can be harmed by loud noises from a race track, or any other thing that seems to bring out loud noises. Empty houses are a real distraction, as well. A community with a bus that runs within it to places people want to go is a good thing. Having good police protection is great. Having a good school within the community, good churches, shopping are all important. Weather can even be brought in as a factor. Drain systems may or may not be as they should be for the weather the community does have. If the community is safe, clean, quiet, and the air is good..................it is probably a good community.
