Anywhere between 10.5 months to 14 is normal I believe. If you are concerned, talk to your pediatrician or call the Birth to 3 group in your area who will come out and evaluate your son.

The best you can do is give him every opportunity to get up on his two feet - My kids used the push vehicles that don't tip - it took them a while too - hang in there - pretty soon, you'll be praying he slow down.

Don't worry! My daughter is almost 14 months old and I was sooooo concerned b/c she wasn't walking since my 1st started walking at 11 months! Now my 14 month old is flying all over the house after just starting to walk a week or so ago!

You should start to practice with him, I work with kids of this age, and not all of them know how to walk but I give them shopping carts and toys like those that they can push around to used to walking, and I also hold their hands and get onto their level, let go of their hands and have them try on their own. Remember not all children are the same, but it's good to practice with him, don't force him to walk, he'll do it when he's ready.

It depends on the baby... I guess. My coworker had her last son walking at the age of 7 months, now he wasn't held much. Mine walked almost when he was 11 months, but he had been spoiled by holding him too much. My wife's friends have boys, and those boys are 13 months and don't walk yet. You have to watch their weight too, they might not be strong enough to hold themselves because they don't execise enough.

It varies from child to child.

My baby started taking steps @ 9 months. At 10 months, he would take about 4 steps on his own. Now @ 11 months, he is officially walking.

Like I said, it varies from child to child. You can talk to your doctor to see how he feels about the situation.

9-18 months. After 18 months they start to be slightly concerned and will run some tests.

If your baby is learning new skills and gaining in strength slowly but surely he is fine.

It depends on the kid, how active they are and the encouragement they get from the parents. My daughter started right before 9months..but we're always running around and not sitting on our butts all day... 1 year is pretty average though
