The best surprise for a guy is to not wear panties. Go out on a date, like to a move. Make sure he knows it's OK for his hand to wander into your private region. When he discovers the "surprise".... he will FLIP!

Plan a nice intimate dinner or take him to a nice restaurant. To suprise him act like you don;t care about his upcoming birthday then on the day itself ask him to meet you somewhere else and then bring him to the restaurant. You can also write him some "vouchers" for him to redeem during his birthday week. The vouchers may contain a massage or something "naughty". There are many ways to make his birthday special. Just put a little thought to it. You know best what your boyfriend likes. Have a nice birthday celebreation with him!!

take him out on a nice day planned around all the things he likes, and make it all about you two, and grant him one special request at the end of the night
