Skydiving - Where is the best place to do it?

I am in Atlanta Georgia and I want to try skydiving. How should I go about it?

Just go to http://www.Skydiving.com - These guys will set you up to go skydiving most any place in the world. I do not think that they have any online reservations but the phone number is on the Skydiving.com website. If you are going to skydive in Atlanta you may also want to call Atlanta Skydiving Center and see if you like what they have to offer. The website address is

There are a handful of organizations that will also setup a Skydiving adventure for you in the US. such as ThrillPlanet.com or Luxergy.com but also have many alternative adventures should you choose to do something else.

I would be weary of going through 3rd party phone numbers and websites that claim they can hook you up with a jump anywhere in the country since there has been quite a bit of controversy over 1-800-skyride taking peoples money and misleading them...
There are quite a few dz's in your area,.. I would not recommend Atlanta Skydiving Center since they were the people in charge of Skyride,.. I would recommend Skydive The Farm... fun dropzone, cool plane, and good people (no I am not from there)

if you want to do a tandem, I recommend finding a dropzone near you and comparing prices, etc before jumping. Just call up the dropzone and make a reservation to do a tandem skydive (attached to an instructor via a harness). You can even get a video, too!

Atlanta Skydiving Center is supposed to be really nice, but the landing area is apparently really hilly and kind of tricky.
