So I've been alone with this guy 3 times (I wouldn't call them dates, though): we went out to lunch, watched a movie at my house, and watched a movie at his house. The first time, nothing happened. The second time, he put his arm around me during the movie and I leaned my head on his shoulder. The third time (last night), we did the same thing. As I was leaving, I gave him what I thought was going to be a quick hug. Then, before I knew it, we were face-to-face and he was kissing me. He's a complete sweetheart and I didn't want to shut him down, so I went along with it and we made out for like half a minute. Then, I pulled away and was like, "I've gotta go" and he was like, "OK."
He is a really great guy and I like him so much as a friend, but I don't want to date him. We're seniors in high school and I'm leaving the state in early August for college- I don't need a reason to want to stay. I think he's going to ask me out soon- what should I do? I don't want to hurt him!

Don't want to hurt him? Sounds like you already have... by leading him on. Why would you go along with these things if you don't have those feelings for him? If he is so sweet, you should have been up-front with him.

That is very cruel.

tell him that you like him as a friend and it could possibly turn into something more,
BUT you've got college on your mind right now
and you don't want to get involved in a relationship when you're about to go off to college in a couple months.
he should understand.
just tell him you still want to hang out with him and be friends, but you don't want to make anything official.

well first off if you didnt want it to be anything you never should have hinted towards that. by showing affection your saying that you want to pursue a relationship. so stop leading him on. by leading him your hurting him more than syaing no now

You are saying he is great guy. But you stilll do not want to date. You must tell him the same, while he kissed you.

You are throwing wrong signals gal!!!!!!!
