I can't imagine any situation where payments through CSA should be stopped, but maybe you have a good reason which I haven't thought of.
The money is paid not for you but for the child/children. It is not part of your personal income and is generally discounted for most benefit claims and many other purposes, so I really cannot see any sound reason for stopping the payments.
Having said that, if you were to explain your reason to the CSA they may decide you have a valid reason and stop collecting money and forwarding it on to you.
It may well be that the CSA will want a lot of information as to your reason for wanting to stop receiving the money, and they could well, and probably will, refuse to stop payments, as they are for the child and not you.

Yes you can stop them, BUT only if you do not claim any un-employment benefits.

If you are working you can stop them just by ringing the CSA and informing them that you do not wish to pursue a claim. They may ask yu to put your request in writing,
