No. You can have a marriage without being religious. Try getting married without the legal paperwork.

Religion and castes are our man made creations. What was the religion and caste of Adam and Eve?What is the caste of the Gods? Do death recognise caste or religion?Does a doctor ask you before treatment all these questions? Humanity cannot and does not believe in these narrow distinctions.
But, we live in a society , where there is an arranged marriage ,where these things are taken as customary to be seen , before marriage , so that the heritage is maintained.
This is slowly dying away , with love marriages , settlement in foreign lands and marriages of conveniences.
However , a fragment of the same will continue , for some more time , to preserve the beliefs and distinctions , for whatever reasons these were created.

These days marriage takes place between different religion...different castes and even different Nationals.
Earlier it was related to religion and caste because the culture way of life, language and traditions are common ..
so there is easy understanding and adjustments in life.
But these days everything is fast... marriage and even
diverse!. There is ofcourse some meaning and reason
for all practices which can change with time and circum-
stances.

No... marriage is should not be related to religion and caste. It should be related to cutlure. People belonging to same cutlural sect would be able to understand each others routines and lifestyles better. religion and caste are wrongly manipulated words. Religion is a set of instructions to enforce harmony in the society. It's not our identity. Relating marriage to religion would be of no use if the pair are not committed towards these instructions. Similarly, caste is a man made sect. Holy books never talked about caste. Discrimination is a human trait that we must fight back.
All the best...

Marriage is the oldest human institution. It is based on society. Religion and caste have no place in it.
The religious/caste overtone in marriages are the creation of power hungry religious leaders.
Commitment to one another is the essence of any marriage.
Our Govt. has allowed us to be married with out any touch of religion/caste.

There is no need to bring religion or caste into marriage. To know the roots, we have to go into ancient history. Ours is a male dominated society and wife is dependant. If husband bored with wife, he can dis-own her and go for another woman. Then wife will become a destitute. To avoid such problems, ritual marriages administered in front of kith and kin, who will stand as witnesses at time crisis. Priest make groom to undertake an oth that he never leave her hand until death (As per Hindu Scriptures groom has to pronounce " ardhecha, kamecha, mokshecha naathi charaami ", means, he will not leave her at times of riches, pleasures and until death). This will give assurance to wife and her family. Caste interference had another reason. In ancient times society divided in to groups and particular works endorsed to each group for smooth functioning of the society and to make people inter dependant. Each group was named basing on their work and is called as caste. Marriages performed in the same caste, because couple will better understand the pros and cons of the work. More-over at times of hectic seasons one can support the other. In the process of time everything changed and no body doing jobs basing on the caste. So there is no need for religion or caste now a days. Only requirement is human values and better understanding.

ofcourse marriage is related to religion and caste. Marriage is not only built of physical relaltionships but meeting of the mind is very important for marriage to thrive or survive. Meeting of the mind is only possible with common background of religion, customs, traditions, habits, standards, life style. The matching qualities are there as there are common grounds in marriage. Going to the same temple and worshipping the same god is as important as being a vegetarian as against being a non vegetarians. The habits in life play very important role in successful marriages.

the conception of marriage is depending in faith even inspite of the actuality that they don't look appropriate. no longer all communities grouped into christianity are christian denominations. yet having suggested that those communities alongside with Muslims, Jews and others be counted on marriage. With a majority of those communities in undemanding words a small share are non secular. likely decrease than 5% are non secular. If a million out of three human beings are non secular in any respect and reduce than 5% are non secular then those that imagine marriage is the right thanks to bypass is about .016% or about a million in 1500.

There is no religous thing in marriage, there was in the past and certain religions will not allow certain marriages and if they happen you will not be allowed to be part of that religion anymore. Suddenly if you get married you will lose your faith etc etc etc.
Legally there are no rules but in religous law there are.
