Didn't Jesus tell us not to judge others to avoid being judged ourselves? I would recomend that Christians avoid thinking that others must answer to us. We are better advised to remember we ourselves will answer to God

Definitions of sin on the Web:

* estrangement from god
* an act that is regarded by theologians as a transgression of God's will

There are many more definitions of the word sin available on the net and in the dictionaries. In a way all these sources are 'telling' us what is sin.

So, to answer your question, No its not a sin to tell everyone what is sin.

Honestly, nobody knows the answer to such questions, so I simply tried to pull it out of the philosophical angle it was in.

God told us to teach His word. That includes educating the world on what is sin. I don't judge anyone. That is not my place. They will be judge when Jesus calls them home. My job and responsibility is to help lead people to a life worth living.

God says that we are all of a sinful nature. NO ONE is perfect. Even Christians sin. The difference is, that we have a personal relationship with God and we are forgiven, because we ask to be.

I dont expect anyone to 'answer' to me for their sins....God has that covered!

Sin is different from wrong because it is wrong that leads to sin. Only God judges sin, we merely point out the short-comings of each other with the guidance of the Word of God(Remember we as people are created in the image of God and capable of knowing right from wrong)

There is a Judge of all the Earth, and I am not Him. When I tell someone that a certain behavior is a sin (which I do only with someone who has already professed to a Christian) it is akin to letting someone know that a certain stretch of road has a particularly low speed limit. I don't make the laws, I don't enforce the laws, I just try to help other people keep from getting busted.

Jesus said no such thing.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." (Matthew 7:1-2)

He is not saying that we cannot judge, He is making commentary on the harshness with which we make that judgment. Throughout the rest of Scripture we are told to judge, discern, reprove, rebuke and exhort. If nobody tells you that you are doing something wrong, how will you know?

Would a Christian truly be able to call themselves loving if they allowed everyone to blindly walk into condemnation?

If you go to the book of Matthew chapter 7 verses 1-5 and there's your answer. Wow I'm not even a Christian and I know the bible better then some people. Not that I'm saying I know it better then you because I see where you're going with it. Good luck.

no saying what a sin is is spreading the work of jesus. but judging them for a sin they may have committed is not good. You might also be wrong and thus only god should judge.

If you cannot tell the difference between pointing out a sin to others, which could help them avoid committing it, and judging, you shoul.d rather stick to less intense topics ;)

It's called educating the ignorant. If you choose to sin after that, that is a sin, not the act of educating against it.
