products taste different???

they use slightly different amounts of each ingredient, based on what they think tatses best.

its like if your mom makes home made spaghetti sauce, she'll put in what she feels is the right amount of tomato, garlic, spices, salt, a little sugar, etc.

but, maybe your friend's mom like's hers to tatse a little spicier and thicker than average, so she puts MORE spices, garlic, some extra onion, less stewed tomato but more chunks of tomato.... etc.

still the same stuff, just tweaked to personal taste.

I think alot of name brand companys, lets say Lays Potato chips, I think they put out a store brand of chips from the same factory of the name brand they just don't use the same quality ingredients in the store brand. I used to work at a liquor store, I learned that Leeds vodka is made by Smirnoff, a cheaper version of a good vodka, it's just not distilled the same way.

they use different ingredients to have their own unique (an sometimes not so unique) flavor....
