i am around your same age, and i have two agents. one is stationed in new orleans louisiana and she works for New Orleans Model and Talent agency. i've found it wise to not spend outrageous sums of money on agencies out in L.A. and New York, but that is my personal opinion. My other agent is in Texas (Pastorini Bosby), and both of mine are free. i just have to pay them commission when i get paid for certain jobs. be knowledgable to the fact that around this age range not many people can get large amounts of work because we are still growing. this phase ends around 17-18 most of the time. search any of these agencies on google if you want more information. hope i could be of some help.

In any situation in the performing arts, as well as the things people have suggested here, make a web site about yourself, and also get a glossy brochure made with recent photos, and send them to thousands of different places, including tv companies etc. 99% will end up in the bin but you will get something back - obviously you pay money for mail shots etc and the brochures, but hey, it's a competitive world!! And do as many auditions as possible, not hanging too many hopes on any particular audition.

She can sit at the counter of Swinger's Diner on Beverly Blvd. in Los Angeles and seductively sip a Coke thru a straw.
It helps to wear bright red lipstick and a tight sweater.

Swinger's is a local hotspot here, a couple of blocks from CBS and Farmer's Market

YOU GO, Girl.

well, my brother was an extra in a movie that was shot in canada. and at the end to the process, he received a form type thing from a company called ACTRA (which is a canadian/toronto based company). and it basically said that he could train there and they could find him parts in other media forms such as comercial. he didn't go through with it though, so i don't know if they really would've found him acting parts. try doing some research on this company.
hope this helps. and good luck. =D
