Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto Me, and I will answer thee,
and show thee great and mighty things,
which thou knowest not.
During Bible Study of the Book of Jeremiah this verse stuck in my heart and mind and it became unforgettable to me. My continual prayer was Lord, Jeremiah 33:3 says if I will call unto You that You will show me great and mighty things. Lord, I'm calling, I'm seeking, I'm knocking and I love you with all my heart. This was my prayer for at least 3 months because I wanted to see the Lord. I wanted to hear His voice. I wanted to know Him.
At 3:15 one morning I was awakened with the voice saying "Get up and see the wonders of God." I got up immediately and went outside into the back yard which led to the street up the hill and at the top of the hill shining brighter than the moon was a huge glowing bright light. At first I thought it was a really close and bright moon sitting at the top of the hill, but I had never seen anything like it before. I blinked my eyes and it was gone. I was not afraid of it. I tried to say it had to be the moon very low and very near and very bright and then I remembered my prayer from Jeremiah 33:3.
This is not the only time the Lord has sent me comfort. It was the last time because I yearn to hear His voice again. He will be returning soon.

I'm sure this depends on the experience in question, so I'll stick with one I'm familiar with.
I have been meditating for about 12 years. I have passed through several stages of deepening experience in meditation (an , to some extent, out of meditation as well). One such experience was of a level of mind that seemed to pervade all of the space around me. Encompassing that experience was a larger mind that seemed to be orchestrating everything that happened, directing every aspect of the universe toward the fullest expression of happiness for everything that is (though not any particular thing). Others have described significantly similar experiences in ancient and modern meditation literature. It's not difficult to see how this might be associated with a deity.
But when I came out of meditation, I realized I had no criteria that allowed me to say this experience corresponded to anything but some state of a human nervous system. It could simply be an illusion created by being in that depth of meditation. More and different evidence would be needed to rid me of this possibility, so I am still an Atheist.

No. Not all religious experience can lead to belief in God because not all religions believe in the existence of God.

A religious experience is a all encompassing term and has a lot of different meanings.

nicely, in case you suspect that it rather is a non secular journey it would ought to assist your theory in god, because you "have faith" it to be a non secular journey. it is all in theory.
