Get some sharp pieces of jagged metal that are connected to a spring , then put your fingers and tongue inside... just to check it's working okay.

Wrong forum.
But, since you asked, find a rabbit run and make sure there are at least two snares on either side. Use a long stick to attach the snares and use what you can to camouflage them.
Use something they like to eat, greens, vegetables, whatever you have on hand.
And then wait.
It shouldn't take long to catch a few.
Good luck and happy eating!

It is only legal to set free-running snares, self locking ones are illegal. The RSPCA are opposed to the manufacture, sale and use of all snares or traps that cause suffering. Just how moral is it mate, and how do you know exactly what your`re going to catch? My father-in-law set traps to catch mice in his avairy, and found a robin in one of them. He didn`t set them any more after that.

I think it may be illegal now because of the cruel way they die. If you have to have rabbit either buy one from butchers or get a gun and at least it will die quickly. I am not condoning killing bunnies and I have never eaten rabbit in my life. Know people who have though. One of my childhood friends sat down to tea one day half way through she asked if she could leave the table as she had forgot to feed her bunny before she left for school her dad replied dont bother love "it`s" just fed you.....

Stick with your ferret. Snares are indiscriminate (even Ferrets die in them), and if left, can cause untold misery to victims. Great topic on the wrong board !

Sick and cruel mate as slow and painful and unescessary.
Its not a survival situation.
So use a gun, and only if you are a crack shot who can hit the head

yep, nets and ferrets are best but if no ferret is available then use a hose pipe if you can got one to a burrow, and when you catch them a chop to the back of the neck is a quick way of killing them.
