I love HP sauce but am aggrieved that they have closed their factory in U.K. and put many people out of work. There should still be loads of sauce out there but it is marked as EEC produced. How can I tell whether it was u.k. manufactured so that I can boycott the Holland made product

The last bottle of HP sauce has been produced in Birmingham, marking the end of more than 100 years of sauce making at the site.

If you don't like Dutch HP sauce then buy Australian Made! Yes we make it here too and in New Zealand.

For the guy who doesn't know what it is , you could say it is a dark somewhat spicy sauce similar in texture to BBQ sauce. It comes in a square sided bottle with a picture of Big Ben and the (British) Houses of Parliament on the label - hence the name HP sauce. I believe soy sauce is an ingredient.

It is great on steak or eggs but not recommended for WHEAT BIX or COCO POPS. Haven't tried it with Corn Flakes yet. It tends to do strange things to the milk.

HP sauce is great Hot Sauce but lately I haven't seen it in the stores! Maybe they are boycotting it too for some reason. I had some Rasberry Habenaro sauce made in Holland. It was hotter than the HP stuff. I got a cheaper brand of Rasberry Habenaro sauce made right in BC and I note it wasn't as Hot as the Holland made stuff but hot enough for me!

You can't.

And if you really are aggrieved with products that originate outside the U.K., I can't imagine what you are going to eat for the rest of your life!

You know where Heinz Baked Beans come from, right? Or did you think they come from the Great Northern Beanfields of Macclesfield? LOL
