He is a house cat, ie does not go outside, and uses a tray. There are three other cats in the house - one male kitten, one neutered femal and one non-neutered female. They do not smell. Unfortunately, after being on my lap the smell lingers, and clothes have to be washed. Is he ill? Or is this normal? It may be seasonal, as it comes and goes.

Hi, I had a tom with the same problem, he had a smelly bum every now and then, and yes you can smell it a mile away. The problem that my cat had was his renal glands got blocked. This is not a serious problem just one that is uncomfortable the cat (and owner coz of the smell). If it gets to bad your cat will sit on the floor and drag his bottom, basically it is like us having piles. You can take him to the vet and they will drain them, it is not a painful procedure, but just and uncomfortable one, the vet will put his finger up the cats rectum and just squeeze to drain the glands. After that no more smells, until they block again. I had to take my cat to the vet every year, in fact I asked for it to be done when he had his vaccinations, then there was no extra consultation fees, the only thing you may need to pay for is a mild sedation. Anyway, hope this helps.

some times the male cats get crazy as it do its bath any where or be ankind or something like that.
but why they do that ??
they do that may be cause u r takeing care of another cat more than hem or he like to get intercourse with female but the female wouldn't and so on.
so u should know what is the something that it need and try to make it available.
the place that they make its bath u should be more carfully about it as the cat do not like to bath in a dirty place so make sure about that also.
ur cat r normal but give hem more care

hi bee bee, Hamsters choose to burrow so as that they have got some thing to do and shop heat. whilst hamsters have been interior the wild they burrowed to cover from preditors yet now that they are accurately in a cage no longer something can harm them (i'm hoping). Its merely an instinct. He additionally could be somewhat bored. have you ever offered sufficient toys for him? There are rather low-priced and common ones you may have like a bathroom roll tube or i attempted a pringles tube and my hammy enjoyed it. put in previous bits of wood and issues he can knaw at if he likes to chew issues.attempt putting a shoe lace from the best of te cage and watch your hamster attempt to climb it. it is rather cute. Is your hamster new? if so in line with possibility he hasnt have been given used to his cage yet. If he's ben there for a jointly as in line with possibility he's merely a complicated hamster So dont problem that your your hamster is digging. What approximately including some greater wood shavings for him to burrow in. desire you and your hammy are nicely :)

i would go to the vet because i presume you feed all your cats the same food and they are ok so he should be. i tell you what you can buy pet odour tablets you get your cat or dog to swallow them and it combats bad breath, smelly bums and females in season smell.

what are you feeding the cat, probably low quality food, first get him to the vet and have him checked out to rule out a medical reason and then switch him to some quailtiy food.

he may have some of his pooh stuck to the hair around his butt, you could flip up his tail and look if he does you may want to take him to groomer they shave some of the hair around there to keep stuff from sticking ( i have a cat who has to be shaved often b/c of that problem) if not you may want to take him to the vet it could be something in his glands.
