i know they are busy but really is this fair that they can't even pick up the phone and call ...they say they love us so what ??? isn't love a two way street ???

Love is a two way street, but your worry shouldn't just be whether they call or not, do they do any of the other things to let you know they love you. They may just not be phone conversation people, i know my girlfriend isn't. But when I'm with her its like only I exist and that kind of stuff lets me know she loves me.

Stop calling and find out.
It could be that they know that you call, so they just expect you to. And don't think about calling themselves, because...well, you always call.
Or it could be that they don't call because they don't want to talk to you.
But if you stop calling, you're likely to find out.
Give it a few days. If you don't hear from this person, they probably aren't interested.
But, you probably will hear from them. And they'll ask why you haven't called. And then you can provide the honest answer that it bothers you that you are always doing the calling. Hopefully, that will open up a positive conversation between the two of you.
Now, if you're a guy... she may have been taught "the rules." In which case, just keep calling:)

I never call some people. because I don't get the chance to. They call -me- too much. So, I never get in touch with them, I take them for granted, and sometimes I just don't even pick up the phone when they call. There's such a thing as too much attention, and one day, when you're on the other end of the smothering, you'll understand. You grow weary and apathetic.
Remember, they can't miss you, if you're never gone.

I think the lover that never calls is not uninterested but preoccupied. I have been on both sides of this predictament. My first gf never called me, but that was when I didn;t have a cell phone. My latest gf never got a call from me, but we aren't together anymore.
The better the communication in the relationship the longer it'll last. Communication is the most important factor in a relationship. It lets you express the way you feel and lets you feel what your partner is feeling.

If you have love for someone and you don't feel the feelings are being given back then it's not love on the others behalf.Love is a word that is not of value to some people.

You are right this is not real love. Wheb you're in love these things don't matter. Your mate is the most important thing. When this happens often then yes you should start worrying....
